From what most people are saying its going to be a TT V6 that might debut on the new gen IS-F. Hopefully Toyota will give it a 4.0L a 2L displacement over the GTR 3.8 just like the 3.0L GTE over the 2.8 RB26.

V6TT seems to be ideal for the kind of performance a car in this segment is supposed to have and for what they will be going up against.

I disagree. Now, this is only speculation, because that is all we have right now... But im putting on my Devil advocate hat for this.

My opinion based on No care for fuel economy would be the V8TT out of the M5 and X5M.... This is all dependent on the actual involvement from BMW... and seeing that Toyota likes to partner with people in recent years...

Now, if Fuel Econ is your game, then probably the V6TT...

This machine is going to need some serious jam, So I would hope it gets a bigger displacement engine.

Time will tell, those that is my prediction.

I do agree that displacement is key in competing with other platforms. In my opinion anything less than 4.0 L will be a huge disappointment. Although I'd like to agree with FT-1Admin, I think a V8TT will put it out of the competitive pricing with the GTR that we are all hoping for.......but I wouldn't mind a V8TT for $60k-$80k!!

It would be nice to see a V8, I think it it happens it could be a version of the IS-F's engine, but so far things seem to be in favor of a 6 cylinder engine at the most.

BMW's S55B30 with some Toyota/Yamaha love?

Aluminum I6 Twin Turbo, 450 HP/400TQ, with a screaming redline and a beautiful note?

A boy can dream, I suppose...

Base model: V6 hybrid (something similar to FT-HS)
Flagship model: V6 TT (same as next gen IS-F)
