Interiors: Toyota Supra MKIV vs Toyota FT-1

I know, I know this is sheer insanity to compare a concept car with a car out of production for 12 years. Play along, see if we can't discover some common themes, if not real production possibilities.

Quote:
"Our team was heavily influenced by Toyota's sports car past, especially Celica and Supra, and we sought to capture some of that history. It is an aggressive, track-focused sports car concept with a presence that has been amplified for shock and awe," said Alex Shen, Calty's Studio Chief Designer.
Much like the MKIV Supra the FT-1 is heavily driver focused. FT-1 obviously takes MKIV into the new century but the theme is common enough.

The FT-1 takes the Supras already visually excellent and driver focused cluster (Tach front and center as it SHOULD) and simply integrates them into the 21st century.

I can only hope that the production version keeps the design elements of the MKIV. God know the FRS Concept dash didn't even remotely match the the production version...

thats also what I'm hoping for with the next generation model.
what we're seeing here is also a design exercise so im going to expect to see the official interior influenced by this and hopefully the MKIV supra.

one of my favorite things about the supra interior was how the entire dash and center console revolved around the driver

Same here, even other japanese vehicles like it had an interior layout like this.
not sure if this idea will make it to production, but it wouldn't be a bad idea. we need more driver focused interiors on sports cars

I'm really excited to see how they transfer that cockpit-esque feel to the production car or even a more polished concept...

Exactly, I really hope that the concept is the same as production w/ minor changes. I'd like to see the front nose shorter
