Question ft1 nose...love it or hate it?

we have talked about this here and there in a few other threads, but i thought it would be a good idea to have a specific thread for it with a poll to see what everyone here really thinks about the ft1 nose.

1. i love the nose!

2. me hates it!

3. not sure...

cast your vote, then tell us what you think...

I don't hate or love it, I think some things could be done to make it look better, just not sure how to go about that as i'm not a designer.

I think that the "nose" is one of the unique things about the new Supra. It's not that i am in love with the current nose, I just don't want to see something that is boring and tame instead of something that is a bit more risky.

I voted for undecided. I do like the nose and as long as they keep it the same as the concept I'm ok with it. But if they redesign it, not sure unless it looks better. I wouldn't mind a front bumper closer to the FRS/GT86 either.

I agree with you here. A redesigned nose based on the one that the concept has could end up being a terrible mistake. Not exactly the same, but I am reminded of the difference between the Aztek concept and production model.

Good choice, i think that's the case for a lot of people. Overall the FT-1 concept pleased almost everyone from what i have seen, just that it's easy to see how they can go about altering that front end for production.
What ever they do i hope it will all set the stage for the next supra to be an amazing iconic car for the brand.

problem is concept cars are not concerned design wise with DOT regs and crash testing, which often knackers the package when it comes to proddy...

That is true.
It's only the cars that are called concepts which look very production ready which likely comply with most DOT reg's, or at least that's what i'm assuming.

In Europe i can imagine that the FT-1's front end would go against their pedestrian regulations
