Will Google Auto Link make its way to the next Supra and other Toyota vehicle?

Like the title says, will Google Auto Link make its way to the next Supra and other Toyota vehicle?

Toyota has announced Apple Carplay compatibility for their vehicles, will they get Google counterpart as well? I like the fact that Nvidia is the manufacturer of chip and hardware. Their chip has one of best iGPUs in the industry, and this would make head unit the best one yet.

I've been wondering if we could eventually see the manu's offering the choice between apple and google, nearly analogous to our cell phone carriers. Manufacturer behaves as the carrier or service provider, while the consumer is offered their choice of device. I don't know if any Manufacturer will be able to go exclusively one brand without fear of alienating segments of consumers. Especially if the branded systems favor same company devices...

It will depend on who toyota wants to sign contracts with for this tech and what we'll have to do is look out for info on that.

Hopefully, they give Android users some love since we're majority. Would be better if head unit is compatible with both.

Yea, but will be interesting to see if say for example Toyota chooses Android Exclusive and Nissan goes Apple, will we begin to see a direct correlation between cellphone choice and vehicle manufacturer?

Will manufacturers have the data to know that X% of their current buyers are Android/Apple users and how will that factor into their infotainment development.

Its interesting from the marketing side but all too useless from the actual you know driving side

Seeing how sales of phones with android software is quickly taking over apple, they should. If apple doesn't do something major with it's next generation iphone and ios, the future for them may not be too bright.

Ostensibly you would think so, but in actuality its not so. Consider that android is an open source software available to all who want it, which means there are far more available phones and a wider range of price points that apples Hardware/software only combo.

There may be more Android phones out there but google still makes no money from android. So yea the numbers are skewed, but I'd be curious to know how many of X amount of iPhones produced are sold. If they're selling their entire production stock and making good margins there's no problems, just posturing...

Found this handy guide that tells you which automakers are using which tech firms to do their infotainment systems.

Tried to embed it but the formatting goes off so I'll just post a link to it instead.

Toyota seems to only be using Apple in the future.
