Lexus price new RC F at $62,400...

So where do you think FT-1 will start at? I think Kevin Hunter's ball park guess of $50k-$60k is a good place to start.

That's lower than I thought! My guess was starting at 70k for the RCF.

Now that we have an official price tag for the RCF it gives us a picture of where to slot the FT1 in terms of price. I don't see the FT1 exceeding the starting price of the RCF. If anything I see that being the max for the flagship if it has that V8 in it and fully loaded upgrades they'll have available (GPS, Leather seats. etc.). My guess is:

Base Entry Level FT1: - $47k
Upscale Entry Level FT1: - $50k

Base Flagship FT1: - $56k
Upscale Flagship FT1: - $59k

Remember FT1 will be badge a Toyota and will be similar to what the RCF will be for Lexus in current day which is the 'Flagship' Model for the Brand for the time being.

Given the price of the RC F I think that somewhere around $50k sounds appropriate for the Supra. I could see the upscale flagship Supra being a bit more expensive than $59k. I'm thinking it might max out around $62k.

Yeah $50k seems about right, good difference in price to really make someone see the difference as a big jump.

Also glad to see they priced the RC-F how they did, it should sell well

A $50k-$60k FT1 with 2UR-GSE V8 would make a great C7 fighter

Would any of you guys consider buying the RC F instead of the Supra now that we know the price of the RC F and are still perpetually waiting for the Supra?

Well since the RC-F is announced and we just got a confirmed price, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. I figured wait for the beloved Supra; worst case scenario, we have a fall back car for those that have interest in the RC.

I wouldn't be so quick to decide. The RC-F is nice and all but I want to wait for the Supra, just to see what it's like and then compare.

It's just a matter of how long we will actually have to wait for the Supra to come out. I would wait for it, I am just wondering how long the wait will be. Hopefully they give us a better timeline on the Supra soon so that people know whats going on.

No matter how long we have to wait, we know that the Supra will be cheaper than the RC F.

My guess is around 2017. But with the upcoming auto shows, i hope they will have some word for us on when to expect it.
