Can't Touch This !

This is definitely what my motivation towards a Supra has always been. We know these motors are capable of making a ridiculous amount of horsepower and hold them well even in stock form. Put in some work and you really got a beast on your hands. This right here is the Real Street Supra producing over 1000hp. Look at it eat !!

Those 2JZ engines are bullet proof when they want to be. I have seen builds where guys have churned out 800HP all without building the bottom end or doing any crazy internal engine work. That alone says a lot. The 90's were great for Toyota. I just hope this time around they can pull it off again, maybe not with this level of bulletproof-ness but power... sure.

The stock Supra as it sat really wasn't that fast at all, but the slightest bit of tuning on it and easy mods and it really came alive. The motors were darn good which is why people are stuffing them in darn near everything! They are also pricey haha.

Yeah its insane. If the next Supra isn't as advanced as we're thinking or some nearly totals one, maybe then we'll see a 2JZ in the next supra. That to me would be the ultimate way to pay homage to the classic MKIV

I can definitely see that happening really quickly. Look at how quickly the twins started to get 2JZ swapped as well as LS1 swapped haha. No matter how good it is, it'll get done lol.

Someone will definitely be a troll and put an LS engine in the Supra for sure !

But these engines aren't going to be capable of holding as much power as the 2JZ was for obvious reasons like the materials used in the engine construction and what not. Give it a while when aftermarket companies start making internal upgrades, sleeve the engine, and you should be good to go to start throwing real power at it though.

I have been long awaiting this..

Only thing that might stop people is how the rumored hybrid power plant performs, if good enough then it will be easy to kiss 2JZ engines goodbye. The sound and performance is great but todays and tomorrow cars are well ahead of the 90's.

Even if a Supra isn't modded to the nines, the older models still deserve to be revered and ROT agrees! It's just so fun to drive on out of city roads.

Friends, a very good forum, the main thing is not to pollute it with advertising.
