welcome to the site, cool post. Nothing really revolutionary revealed by the MT guys except that a second concept could be coming in a second color, which really could be the same car with a repainted skin But then again the LF-LC did have the blue hybrid concept at the Red hi-po version.

Perhaps Toyota will be showing us a Hybridized version of FT-1 Supra using their super capacitor technology. Figure with that type of technology not only could they go GTR hunting but they could also compete with GTR on price. Should that be what they want to do

^thanks

there was more to the article than that.

1. it said the pricing will be around $60k.
2. Toyota will be aiming for the GT6 specs (2900lbs with 485hp).
3. a racing version concept is also in the works.

Exciting news!! But with another concept in the works I’m afraid this may mean that the production version may be delayed till 2017 or later but at the same time hinting they are serious about this car. I don’t see them releasing the second concept until some time next year since the FT1 was released this year, which will mean there will be no 2016 production. I just hope this means something really worthy of wait is being worked on.

Any idea if that 60k was within the starting range or pricing that it could go up to?

i have no idea. but if i had to take a guess i would say $60k is just a starting price. like with any other car it will go up if you want all the goodies added on.

There were 'rumors' saying 2016 could be the production release year

I'm convinced MKV is going to be offered in two flavors. The base $50-60K version and a high performance hybrid version that will retail for closer to $90-100K...

60K should be for high performance version. For 60K, I can get C7 Z51 with carbon dash and other goodies.
